The Gusuku Bingata Dyeing Studio has been in business for 48 years.
The parents of “Shoko Yamashiro” and “ Ai Yoshihama” founded the BingataStudio in 1971.
Around the area of Yamashiro shoko and Yoshihama ai they abide
by the tradition of Okinawa called "Ryukyu Bingata" .
They add their unique modern feeling, making and promoting the Bingata Products
The dye factory and a gift shop are at the same location.
An array of uniquely hand-dyed household and interior items
are available at our shop.
All which are designed by professional Bingata craft-women.
